Industry:

Industrial Procurement

Region:

Europe / DACH

Period:

2026 Q1 & Q2

Partner: www.tacto.ai

Together with technology partner Tacto, I used two webinars to frame what these disruptions mean for industrial procurement — from the Hormuz blockade to the biggest energy crisis since 1973.

Implementation & Result

From geopolitical analysis to operational price defense — data-driven instead of across-the-board.

From geopolitical analysis to operational price defense — data-driven instead of across-the-board.

Beyond framing the Hormuz crisis and energy shock geopolitically, the sessions with practice partners such as Hymer and Sonax showed how structured risk management and AI-supported tools enable purchasing teams to fend off price increases based on facts and build alternative suppliers before a crisis hits.

About Tacto

Tacto is a Munich-based technology company building an AI-powered operating system for industrial procurement.

Founded in 2021, Tacto equips mid-sized manufacturers with software that consolidates supplier data, automates sourcing and compliance workflows, and surfaces supply-chain risk in real time. Its academy and webinar formats — the setting for this collaboration — help procurement leaders translate macro shocks such as the Hormuz crisis into concrete, data-driven action.
